2003 House Bill 4090

Introduced in the House

Jan. 29, 2003

Introduced by Rep. Chris Kolb (D-53)

To allow and establish regulations for “net metering” by public electric utilities. “Net metering” applies to a customer who both generates some electricity which is fed back into the power grid, and also buys some power from the utility. The customer would then be billed for the amount of electricity that is purchased, minus the amount that is sold back.
