To require a funeral director to receive written authorization from parents or legal guardians before removing the body of a minor to a crematory. The bill would also increase the maximum penalties for removing a body to a crematory without a permit signed by a county medical examiner. The maximum penalty would go from on year in jail and a $500 penalty to five years in prison and $10,000 penalty.
