2003 House Bill 4830

Introduced in the House

June 12, 2003

Introduced by Rep. John Pappageorge (R-41)

To require school elections to be held on the first Tuesday after the first Monday in June, and consolidate all school bond and millage elections to one of the three days on which all elections would be held in the state, as proposed in House Bills 4829 to 4831. School districts would still run the June school elections, as under current law, but a district could opt to let local clerks run these instead. Elections for State Board of Education, community college boards, and intermediate school district boards would also take place on this day. The bill is part of election consolidation package comprised of House Bills 4829 to 4832.
