To rename the crime of “ethnic intimidation” as “felonious intimidation,” and add “sexual orientation” to the characteristics which qualify for the establishment of a group against whom crimes committed are subject to additional penalties, compared to the same crimes committed against persons who are not a member of that group. The bill would add up to two years of imprisonment for a criminal action that also involved felonious intimidation. The bill is part of a legislative package comprised of House Bills 4850 to 4552.
