To establish that if the theory of evolution is taught in a public school science class (the “methodological naturalism hypothesis”), this does not preclude also teaching the theory of “Intelligent Design” (the "design hypothesis.") “Intelligent Design” holds that life as we know it is the result of the intelligent design of a purposeful Creator.
