To eliminate the December property tax collection date beginning in 2005, and establish that all future property taxes will be collected once a year in July. The bill is part of a legislative package comprised of House Bills 5010 to 5020, each of which revises a different section of state law to make this change, or to revise various other dates related to property taxes so that they conform to this change. This bill makes the change in the statute which establishes the authority of public transportation authorities to levy property taxes.
