To raise from 600,000 to 700,000 the maximum population threshold in the law which authorizes a county to impose a hotel excise tax. This applies to Kent County, and would allow the county to continue to levy a hotel tax, even though its population exceeds the 600,000 level. The bill would also have the effect of increasing the maximum tax rate Kent County could levy from five percent to six percent.
