2003 House Bill 5272

Introduced in the House

Nov. 6, 2003

Introduced by Rep. Tupac Hunter (D-9)

To use a three-year average pupil count to establish the amount of per-pupil state aid for school districts with declining enrollment. Currently, state funding is based on a formula combining current year and prior year pupil counts. Currently only smaller districts are allowed to use a three-year average, which increases the amount of funding for declining districts.
