To require that each tree removed or destroyed from state trunk line highways during roadwork be replaced with a sapling of the same or a similar variety, and require county road commissions to provide matching funds for up to 25 percent of the cost. The requirement would also apply to state agreements with local governments on road projects that use state funds.
