2003 Senate Bill 369

Introduced in the Senate

April 2, 2003

Introduced by Sen. Beverly Hammerstrom (R-17)

To eliminate the state school accreditation standards and requirements, which would have the effect of replacing it with the federal standards specified in the 2001 “No Child Left Behind” education act. School districts would still be required to submit an annual performance report to the state, establish a core curriculum, and administer tests in grades one through five, as under current law. This bill is part of a legislative package comprised of Senate Bills 364 to 369.
