To create a Government Ethics Act which establishes a code of ethics that would be binding upon all elected state officials (legislature, governor, supreme court, attorney general, etc.) The bill would establish an ethics board and an ethics committee to investigate and rule upon potential violations. The ethics committee would be authorized to impose sanctions, and to hold violators liable for damages. All public officials would be required to file financial disclosure forms, and details regarding potential conflicts of interest.
