2003 Senate Bill 670

Introduced in the Senate

Sept. 16, 2003

Introduced by Sen. Deborah Cherry (D-26)

To prohibit a health care facility, hospital, or health agency that receives state funds to use any part of those funds to interfere with or discourage unionization by its employees or other employees. The bill would also impose record keeping requirements and require quarterly reports to the state demonstrating that state money was not used for this purpose, and showing where the money was spent. The bill is part of a package comprised of Senate Bills 669 to 671. House Bills 5047 to 5049 are the same bills.
