To revise the terms of a certain exception to the law which exempts an equine activity (horseback riding or racing) sponsor or professional from liability for a participant’s injury, death or property damage which results from the inherent risk of an equine activity. The current exception applies to a person who commits a negligent act or omission. The bill would limit this to cases where the act or omission showed a willful and wanton disregard for the safety of the participant.
