To require the state Department of Transportation to request permission from the federal Department of Transportation to allow highway logo signs advertising tourist attractions, and if granted, create a tourist attraction highway logo sign program. Tourist attractions are defined in the bill as a site with a natural phenomena; a historic, cultural, scientific, educational or religious site; an area of natural beauty; an area naturally suited for outdoor or indoor recreation; a shopping mall or shopping area; or an agricultural site.
