Extending subpoena power to the Senate Committee on Education. This is related to an investigation of why reporting of the state MEAP student assessment test results was four months late in 2003. The Senate is looking to four private companies that contract with the state for MEAP administration, scoring, and reporting to provide information pertinent to the causes for the delay.
