Tax breaks for “redevelopment renaissance zone”

To authorize the designation by the Michigan Strategic Fund of one additional renaissance zone that would be a “redevelopment renaissance zone” intended to promote the redevelopment of existing industrial facilities. Renaissance zones are areas where all business-paid or resident-paid state and local taxes (except local debt issues) are waived for a specified period.
