2004 Senate Bill 915

Introduced in the Senate

Jan. 14, 2004

Introduced by Sen. Jim Barcia (D-31)

To establish a state waterways trust fund, and a state waterways commission, as proposed in Senate Joint Resolution F. This would replace the marine safety fund, the harbor development fund, and the waterways fund. Money in the fund would be used for marine safety programs, capital improvement projects, and administration. The money would come from watercraft registration fees, fees charged at state-operated mooring facilities and public access sites, and taxes on the sale of marine fuel.
