To extend to certified nurse practitioners the authority to conduct and certify the physical examination required to apply for a license to be an emergency medical technician. The bill is part of a legislative package comprised of Senate Bills 979 to 989 that extend to nurses and/or certified nurse practitioners the authority to conduct physical examinations mandated by various statutes, which under current law must be conducted by a physician.
