To authorize a waiver of fines, costs, or assessments against a person who violates the law requiring children riding in a vehicle to be seated in an approved child safety seat, if before the court date the person provides evidence of acquisition, purchase or rental of an approved child seat. Senate Bill 996 increases the fines.
