To urge the Governor to appoint an independent team of experts in public finance and budgeting toassess the current financial situation within the Detroit Public Schools and to then work with community leaders within the city of Detroit and the Detroit Public School system to develop a plan to eliminate the current projected budget deficit for the Detroit Public Schools without incurring additional debt.
