2005 House Bill 4578

Expand waterfront “road end” use

Introduced in the House

March 24, 2005

Introduced by Rep. Joel Sheltrown (D-103)

To authorize the use of “road ends” that terminate at a body of water by non-lakefront “backlotters” who own property within the same subdivision for shoreline activities including sunbathing, picnicking, lounging, swimming, etc., or for the erection of seasonal boat docks or hoists. The bill would give local governments the authority to regulate road end use. See also House Bill 4576, which restricts road end uses.
