2005 House Bill 5071

Ban inaccurate drug or herbal product representations

Introduced in the House

July 27, 2005

Introduced by Rep. Marie Donigan (D-26)

To define as a violation of the state Consumer Protection Act failing to accurately represent the risks involved in the intended use of a prescription or over-the-counter drug or medication, or in the intended use of an herbal product, dietary supplement, or botanical extract.

Referred to the Committee on Commerce

Sept. 8, 2005

Motion by Rep. Marie Donigan (D-26)

To discharge the Committee on Commerce from further consideration of the bill. This bypasses the committee process and moves the bill directly to the House Floor, where it could be voted on at any time. However, this does not require the House leadership to call for a vote.
