Let nurse practitioners conduct mandated physical exams

To extend to certified nurse practitioners the authority to complete the medical certification of a death record. The bill is part of a legislative package that extends to certified nurse practitioners the authority to conduct physical examinations mandated by various statutes, which under current law must be conducted by a physician. A nurse practitioner is a type of nurse who has advanced training beyond that required for initial licensure and who has demonstrated competency through examinations.
