2005 Senate Bill 643

Revise school investment regulations

Introduced in the Senate

June 23, 2005

Introduced by Sen. Mike Bishop (R-12)

To slightly expand the types of investment instruments that school districts are allowed to make with reserve funds. Generally, schools can only invest in the equivalent of government or investment grade commercial debt instruments with fairly short maturities, and this would not change substantially under the bill.
