2005 Senate Bill 644

Revise local government investment regulations

Introduced in the Senate

June 23, 2005

Introduced by Sen. Gerald Van Woerkom (R-34)

To slightly expand the types of investment instruments that local governments are allowed to make with reserve funds. Generally, local governments can only invest in the equivalent of government or investment grade commercial debt instruments with fairly short maturities, and this would not change substantially under the bill.
