Introduced

To extend until 2012 a freeze on “maintenance of effort” rates for county medical care facilities. Counties providing nursing home services in county-owned facilities for residents covered by Medicaid must reimburse the state according to a county "maintenance of effort" rate determined on an annual basis for each patient day of Medicaid nursing home services. Ending the freeze would result in higher payments to the state by some counties.
