Authorize low income home heating fund tax checkoff

To allow an individual to designate on his or her annual state income tax return that a contribution of $5 or more from his or her refund be credited to the state Home Heating Credit Fund proposed by Senate Bill 76, which would be used to cover the cost of low income home heating credits not covered by federal funds. A person not receiving a refund could use his or her tax return to contribute to the fund.
