To authorize a Single Business Tax credit for the cost of the premiums paid by an employer who enrolls employees in one of the insurance or HMO “wellness plans” proposed by Senate Bills 848 and 849, and who provides a reward for employees who participate in a health wellness, maintenance, or improvement program sponsored by the employer. The reward would require that the employee demonstrate maintenance or improvement of his or her health status using related health status indicators.
