Mandate credit agencies honor “security freeze” request

To require credit reporting agencies to honor a “security freeze” request from a consumer, which prohibits the release of information to a third party without prior express authorization from the consumer (with certain exceptions), and to establish regulations governing security freeze procedures and requirements. The bill allows the agencies to charge a modest fee for this service.
