Increase public record tampering penalties

To increase the penalties for a person who willfully takes, mutilates or destroys public records for the purpose of obstructing, impeding or influencing an official proceeding. The bill would authorize penalties of up to 10 years in prison and a $250,000 fine. The bill is part of a corporate officer fraud package, House Bills 6078 to 6083.
