To require auto dealers to offer used car customers an optional contract that gives them (for an extra cost) the right to return the car within two days. The cost of this extra contract would be between $75 and $400 depending on the price of the car. The dealer could charge a restocking fee of up to $500 depending on the price of the car, and the provision could have a mileage cap, all of which would have to be disclosed in advance. Also, to require a dealer selling a car under an installment loan contract to tell the customer that their credit score was checked, what their credit score is, and what that means. The bill also mandates additional disclosures to buyers taking out car loans.
