To require long-term care insurance policies to include an optional nonforfeiture benefit, which is designed to ensure that if a person lets their policy lapse after a specified number of years, they still get some (reduced) benefits from the policy. The bill also require certain provisions related to an insurance company's dealing with a person who may let a policy lapse due to cognitive impairment (due to old age).
