To require the state Attorney General to investigate when an employer may be planning to "outsource" 100 or more jobs from this state in a 12-month period to ascertain whether the firm is complying with applicable federal and state laws, including any notice requirements (see Senate Bill 1236); whether the employer is current on the payment of unemployment insurance taxes; and whether the employer has been the recipient of targeted MEGA tax credits that may be subject to repayment if the firm does not achieve certain employment level milestones (see Senate Bill 1240). The bill is part of a package comprised of Senate Bills 1235 to 1240.
