To prohibit an employer from laying off 50 or more workers, or transferring them to another location more than 100 miles away, unless the firm gives notice at least 60 days ahead of time. If a firm gives less than 60 days notice it would be required to give the laid off or relocated employees full pay and benefits for the number of days less than 60 days. The bill is part of a package comprised of Senate Bills 1235 to 1240.
