2007 House Bill 4152

Revise duties of employers of returned military employees

Introduced in the House

Jan. 30, 2007

Introduced by Rep. Rick Jones (R-71)

To extend from 15 days to 45 days the amount of time an employee who was on a leave of absence because of active duty military service has to notify the employer that he or she is seeking re-employment under a state law the requires and employer to take the person back with the same seniority and rights that would have accrued but for the military service. The bill would also allow the employee to sue if this is violated by the employer.
