2007 House Bill 4638

Create “Great Lakes State Park”

Introduced in the House

April 24, 2007

Introduced by Rep. Steven Lindberg (D-109)

To increase the size and revise the makeup of the state underwater salvage and preserve committee, and rename it the “Great Lakes State Park and Salvage Advisory Authority,” if Senate Bill 429 passes. That bill would establish that the bottoms of the Great Lakes within the boundaries of Michigan will be considered a “state park.” The committee reviews underwater salvage permit application and performs other functions.
