To impose government-established price caps on fees charged by health care facilities and professionals that treat and provide rehab for injuries sustained in vehicle crashes covered under the mandatory (and unlimited) personal injury protection provision of Michigan’s no fault insurance law. Under current law, health care providers are allowed and required to charge no more than their customary and reasonable amounts for these services. The bill would establish the same rates they are paid for workers compensation claims.
