To require school districts to post on their web sites comprehensive data on their spending, including the total budget; the number of students and employees; details of spending by school board members and administrators including district-paid travel; details of service contracts that exceed $100,000, or $25,000 for contracts that were not competitively bid; compensation details for employees who are in the highest 3 percent of all school employees; details of all amounts spent for lobbying, public relations and legal services; details on the level of administrative spending and spending on vehicles; details of contracts and other business relationships in which school board members or administrators may have a personal interest; and more.
