To increase from $500 to $1,750 the preliminary plat review fees a developer is required to pay to the Department of Environmental Quality, and increase other fees paid to local health departments. The fees would also be indexed to inflation. The Department of Environmental Quality is seeking $13 million in increased fees on businesses and individuals to avoid spending cuts in its 2008 budget, or allowing some programs to revert to the federal government.
