To change the meeting times of the State Officers Compensation Committee, which sets the salaries of legislators and top elected state officers, including the governor. Under the bill the SOCC would be required to set the rates for the next legislature before the end of February in 2008, but would then revert to the procedure established under law of setting the rates before June 15 in odd-numbered (non-election) years.
