To request the State Officers Compensation Commission to recommend a 5 percent reduction in the salaries of the members of the Legislature the next time the commission meets in 2008. The measure has no force; this is not a Constitutional amendment to abolish the SOCC and return control over legislative salaries to the legislature directly.
