To place before voters in the next general election a Constitutional amendment to extend legislative term limits, cap legislators’ annual salaries at $40,000, and replace the current full time legislature with a part time legislature that would meet from early January until the end of April each year, unless recalled (by an unspecified person) for an (undefined) “extraordinary occasion.” Under Michigan’s current term limits representatives may only serve three terms of two-years each, and senators may only serve two terms of four-years each. The resolution would extend this to six House terms and three Senate terms.
