Require school Pledge of Allegiance recitation

Introduced in the Senate

Jan. 30, 2007

Introduced by Sen. Patricia Birkholz (R-24)

To require classes in public schools to recite the Pledge of Allegiance each day. The bill would prohibit compelling a student to recite the pledge, and would allow, but not require, school districts to offer the pledge or the national anthem at after school events.
