To expand the role of the “small business clean water ombudsman,” to include monitoring of all environmental enforcement activities of the n the Department of Environmental Quality, not just clean air ones, and explicitly give it the role of investigating complaints from businesses about the department’s enforcement activities. The office was formerly under the Department of Commerce, and the bill establishes that it is within the Michigan Strategic Fund.
