2007 Senate Resolution 129

Oppose "Triangle Project"

Offered in the Senate

Dec. 11, 2007

Offered by Sen. Nancy Cassis (R-15)

To oppose the proposed "Triangle Project" (a construction project involving an annual $3.7 million lease to the state of a new State Police headquarters in downtown Lansing), urge the developer (prominent Democratic Party activist Joel Ferguson) in good faith to discontinue the project in light of Michigan’s struggling economy and limited revenue, and express the intent of the Senate not to appropriate any money for the lease after the State of Michigan takes possession of the building.
