To revise statute to reflect the transfer of the Michigan Film Office from the state Department of History, Arts and Libraries to the Michigan Strategic Fund. Under House Bills 5841 to 5856 the Film Office would have a large role in granting an array of targeted tax breaks and cash subsidies to film companies that shoot in Michigan. The bill would repeal an existing film studio sales tax credit in favor of those other tax breaks and cash subsidies.
