Require state buildings meet higher energy standards

To require that all new state buildings meet Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) standards, and that existing ones be renovated by this standard. Also, to require state buildings to generate a small part of the energy they use and participate in net metering” plans, in which a electricity consumer both generates some electricity which is fed back into the power grid, and also buys some power from the utility. Also, to require that at least 6 percent of state vehicles use “alternative energy” by 2020.
