To not reduce a “temporary” drivers license application fee increase passed in 2003. Under current law the higher fee will end in 2009. The “temporary” increase raised the fee for an original driver’s license from $12 to $25, and from $12 to $18 for a renewal; and for a chauffer’s license, from $20 to $35.
