Mandate cable TV “public access channel” channel assignments

Introduced in the Senate

March 26, 2008

Introduced by Sen. Dennis Olshove (D-9)

To mandate that cable television providers keep so-called "public access" and public TV stations on channels that do not require any special cable box to acquire. The bill was introduced while an ongoing court case challenges a local cable company that is moving these to channels above 99.
