Passed in the House 105 to 1 (details)
To appropriate $7.8 million, mostly for various subsidies and supports for the horse racing industry that Gov. Jennifer Granholm line-item vetoed when she signed the Fiscal Year 2009-2010 Department of Agriculture budget, Senate Bill 237. The money comes from a tax on Detroit casinos, and the Governor had proposed using it to pay for other state spending. The bill also adds money for grain elevator inspections.
